Dr. Stephen Wadsack is assistant professor of trumpet and brass area coordinator at Kennesaw State University’s Bailey School of Music in Kennesaw, GA (USA). A multifaceted artist-educator, arts administrator, and academic researcher, Wadsack seeks to connect meaningfully with others through shared experiences of both stage and classroom, across the globe. He enjoys an active performance schedule, ranging from orchestra concerts to engagements as a solo recitalist and chamber musician. Recent highlights include performing in the national tour of the Broadway musical “Book of Mormon,” soloist appearances in Alaska, Georgia, Ohio, and Utah, and twice performing as featured soloist with the Mantzaros Philharmonic (Corfu, GR). Wadsack has presented research and performed on the natural baroque trumpet at the Noth American Baroque Trumpet Conference (2022), the International Trumpet Guild Conference with Friedemann Immer and the Kentucky Baroque Trumpets(2022), and the 4th Historic Brass Symposium in New York City (2024).
